Plans are moving forward for the development on the Derby Arena – a £22m multi-sports arena which will also be used for large conferences and a concert venue.
Derby City Council have shortlisted potential builders and a decision is expected within the next two weeks on the Pride Park project.

The arena plans is part of the Council’s £50m leisure strategy which will see an Olympic-sized swimming pool also built. This will be located next to the Riverlights complex.
There are also plans for Derby County Football Club to create the Pride Plaza – a retail and office open space next to Pride Park Stadium, which would link up with plans for the adjacent Velodrome.
